About MLD. What is it?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a light, rhythmic manual therapy technique designed to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid through the lymphatic vessels.
The lymphatic system plays a role in fluid balance and immune function within the body. MLD aims to assist the natural movement of lymph fluid and may be considered in certain circumstances following individual assessment.
Responses to manual therapies can vary between individuals. MLD is not a substitute for medical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified medical practitioner.
